In any case, the story unfolds in predictable fashion. I wouldn't be surprised if the guy was Sam Fisher's father or uncle or something. The protagonist is your typical bad-ass, gruff-voiced white male-I can't even tell you his name, although I literally finished the game less than an hour ago. Since I didn't play the first game in the series, I went in to SEV2 totally cold, but it didn't matter a bit.

I didn't think about SEV2 at all until it was released for free on Steam. The x-ray kill cam was a neat touch, but seemed a bit gratuitous. I generally love WWII games, but the idea of being a lone-wolf sniper didn't greatly appeal to me. I remembered seeing some video clips of the first game in the series back when it was about to be released, but didn't think much of it at the time. My system is getting on a bit and can't run the latest and greatest with all the bells and whistles, but it did very well with SEV2, even with all the graphics options maxed out, which was nice. SSD for OS, 7200 RPM HDD for game install If you downloaded it but haven't yet given it a go, here are some reasons why you might consider doing so. Like many of you, I'm sure, I picked it up when it was free on Steam.

I just finished my first playthrough of Sniper Elite V2 (hereafter SEV2) and wanted to share my thoughts.
